Hǣlu have partnered with Bainland Lodge Retreats to provide the perfect setting to bring you our 2024 Reset Retreat.

This 3 night retreat promises to relax, nourish, support and inspire you to make the long-term wellbeing changes you’ve always wanted to achieve.

Based on the healing power of food and cultivating a positive mindset, this retreat uses a combination of healing therapies including Yoga and Breathwork along with Education, practical support and Personalised Consultations to reset your wellbeing journey for success.

Nutritional Therapy

Hǣlu’s approach to Nutritional Therapy is based on the idea that everyone is individual. It combines the principles of Functional Medicine, with a simple food doctrine, emphasising the interconnectedness of your body’s systems.

Our practitioners use personalised nutrition plans, tailored to rebalance your body, by incorporating wholefoods and supplements, to address deficiencies and imbalances, giving you the knowledge to take control of your health goals.

By targeting the underlying causes of health problems, this approach can improve digestion, metabolism, immunity and overall well-being. Our goal is to empower our guests to actively participate in their own health and make informed choices for their long-term vitality.

Medicine With Words

Elizabeth Blake-Thomas is an inspirational Story Teller from Los Angeles, USA. She tells stories across a range of mediums including film (via her L.A production company), books and in-person events.

Elizabeth has created a special workshop for Haelu guests, informed by an holistic approach to well-being and self-improvement.

Restorative Yoga

Hǣlu Yoga is restorative and accessible to all. We practise a ‘Yin’ style Yoga, which is a gentle and therapeutic Yoga practice focusing on relaxation and healing. It involves a series of poses supported by props such as blankets, bolsters, and pillows, allowing participants to comfortably hold postures for extended periods. This style of Yoga encourages deep relaxation, stress reduction, and the release of physical and mental tension.

Yin Yoga helps activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting a state of calm and rejuvenation. It promotoes self-reflection and mindfulness, making it a valuable tool for overall well-being and relaxation.

Reflexology Massage

Reflexology is a holistic healing practice rooted in the belief that specific points on the feet, hands, and ears correspond to various organs, systems, and areas of the body. By applying targeted pressure and massage techniques to these reflex points, reflexologists aim to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes and restore balance.

This therapy promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and enhances circulation. Reflexology  can alleviate pain, improve sleep, and support overall well-being. Many individuals find relief and relaxation through reflexology, making it a popular complementary therapy for those seeking holistic approaches to health and wellness.

Sound Healing

Gong Baths offer a transformative sound experience, immersing you in a unique journey of letting-go and escaping the hustle of daily life. Each session unfolds uniquely, inducing sleep, visions, colors, or physical sensations. Participants recline on mats, guided by breathwork or relaxation as gongs harmonise with instruments such as crystal singing bowls, creating a profound sonic landscape.

Gong vibrations activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting rest, digestion, and healing. This sonic bath fosters relaxation, balance, and an open space for processing thoughts and emotions, leading to an expanded awareness, often described as an incredible experience, with lasting well-being, improved sleep, and reduced stress.

Integrative Breath Workshop

Our breath controls our body and our emotions. Breathwork therapy is a holistic practice that focuses on conscious control of breathing patterns to enhance physical and emotional well-being.

For millennia, spiritual traditions have harnessed the power of breath for healing. Ancient cultures employed rhythmic breathwork to connect with the cosmos and heal.

Integrative Breathwork, with proven benefits such as reduced anxiety and lower blood pressure, allows us to access and release  stored trauma, memories, and emotions in mind, body, and soul. Our breath serves as the key to unlocking freedom from the past – a timeless tool for holistic well-being.

To ensure maximum benefit from this retreat the group size is limited to 12 guests. 10 rooms will be available as single occupancy (with a double bed) and 1 room will be double occupancy (with twin beds). This will be a female-only retreat.
